Dear Spiritual family and friends,
Summer is going byquickly, but there is still time to take in Nature’s special healing opportunities that come with this season and the stars that light the summer skies. Find a way to enjoy the Creator’s great outdoors: breathe and bathe in the abundant elements that come together near lakes, streams, rivers, and oceans, in the mountains and valleys, as well as in the deep forests and woodlands that are so pleniful in the tri-State area. Our national, state and county parks and arboretums are special treasures that offer unparalleled restorative energy to body-mind and spirits depleted by urban stress.
As souls having a human experience, we are also planetary citizens. As such we are also charged with the stewardship and care of these bio-life systems for generations of humans, animals, plants and minerals, yet to exist. So don’t miss your chance to partake of Nature’s gifts, and to give back a little in-kind. It can start right in your kitchen or yardspace, with a potted plant or a soiless garden. Become a proactive recycler and help set into motion those positive changes we hope to have happen in our world and in our time. We are our only obstacle to helping the earth to heal. To paraphrase the words of a wise healer, We are in Nature and the Universe, and the Universe and Nature are divinely designed in us…we tap an infinite source of healing when we consciously combine together.
In the light and joy of planetary oneness,
Rev. Gloria Cousar
Pastor
